Tree Collage
What lives in a tree? You'll find out after looking at Tree Collage. One of the first things you'll notice when you look at this great piece of artwork is the branches and trunk are colored pencils. Another thing you'll notice straight away is the bark is cardboard from a toilet paper roll. So, besides the trunk and the bark, what is the most recognizable feature of a tree? The answer is, of course, the leaves. In this picture, I used crayon coloring, real leaves, clippings from an animal magazine, and even a pig popper ball to simulate leaves. I also used toy animals and stickers to add two birds, a tree spider, and a giraffe. But of course there are much more animals than that. If you looked in a rain forest tree you'd see sloths, monkeys, hummingbirds, snakes, harpy eagles, butterflies, iguanas, chameleons, jaguars, and lots, lots more. If you climbed a tree in your backyard you'd find squirrels and a lot of tree bugs. And if you checked out a mangrove tree you'd get into the lives of creatures like mudskippers and fiddler crabs. Gotta love trees!
